The Newark Police Department is investigating the burglary of a high end clothing boutique on the morning of September, 4. Police, responding to reports of a burglary, arrived at the NV Boutique located in the Shoppes at Louviers on Paper Mill Road to find the front window of the store had been broken out.

The search is on for a man who robbed an elderly woman inside a Brooklyn elevator. Police released surveillance video from the attack. It shows a man in a multicolored polo shirt, baseball cap and jeans. Investigators said he followed an 81-year-old woman into a building in Bushwick, then robbed her.

A New Jersey man kidnapped and held for several months while working for the United Nations in Pakistan is home and in good spirits, but says he is “a little bit tired” after his ordeal. John Solecki, 49, briefly spoke to reporters at his parents’ home in South Orange. Wearing jeans, loafers and a brown jacket, his hair was long, but he was otherwise clean shaven.
