Motor City Denim jeans, by metro Detroit designer Joe Faris, are headed to stores. The line already is available at Caruso Caruso in Birmingham. And on Aug. 18, it’s scheduled to show up at Bachrach stores at Twelve Oaks Mall in Novi and the Somerset Collection in Troy.

Russell Yost is man enough to wear skinny jeans. “I look like I’m hiding in baggy jeans,” said Yost, 20, a Columbia College student in Chicago. He used to wear boot-cuts and shied away from skinny jeans until nearly a year ago.
